Kean Jersey City is Coming!

Big News! Bigger opportunities! Kean is coming to Jersey City.

Under a merger agreement between New Jersey City University (NJCU) and Kean University, effective July 1, 2026, students accepted to NJCU will officially become Kean students, pending state and regulatory approval.

The Jersey City campus will operate as Kean Jersey City, an additional location of Kean—a proud, national research university.

Students in Jersey City will experience a seamless transition to becoming Kean students, with additional academic advisement and ��tv services, as well as clubs, activities, and events right here on the Jersey City campus.

First-Year Applicant

You are currently enrolled in High School (or HS equivalency) and completed college/university credits prior to earning a high school diploma or equivalent.
Adult First-Year Applicant

You earned a High School diploma or equivalency prior to 2026 and did not complete college/university courses post High School completion.
Transfer Applicant

You completed one (1) or more college level credits (100-level or higher) from a regionally accredited college/university after graduating High School or earning a High School diploma equivalent.
Readmit Applicant

You previously enrolled in a degree seeking program at NJCU and have not enrolled for two or more consecutive semesters (Fall/Spring).
Non-Degree Applicant

You are not seeking an undergraduate degree but you are interested in taking one or two credit bearing courses.
EOF/OSP Applicant

You would like to be considered for the Educational Opportunity Fund (EOF) program and you are a NJ resident.
International Applicant

You require an F-1 student Visa to study in the United States.
Accelerated Nursing Applicant

You are interested in the Accelerated BSN program.
Veteran Applicant

You are a Veteran and would like to ensure a seamless transition into the academic arena.
