Philippe Noiret is dead, and it sucks…

In 1990, I saw this add, went to the shop, tried it, bought it, and never changed since. Feels strange. It’s one of the longest things I have still going in my life, and no sign for a change anytime soon.

The last album released by my favorite artist Shiina Ringo’s band “Tokyo Jihen” has this cover:
Firefox 2 changed the way it handles tab browsing, compared to version 1.5. Instead of having one single “close button” on the right side of the tab bar, it now has one button per tab. I hate it, and so do you.
So, to change this, first close your open tabs otherwise it crashes the browser when you make the change. Then, type “about:config” into the Firefox address bar. And you’ll access the config panel where you can make it back to the way it was. Look for “browser.tabs.closeButtons” (or type it in the filter), double-click it, and change its value to “3″. Value “3″ reverts to Firefox 1.5 behavior, “2″ doesn’t display any close tab buttons, and default value 1 displays close buttons on all tabs

Update: Pop-ups suck, and if I decide to open one (for writing a new email with Gmail for example), I want it as a new tab, not a pop-up. The clever people at Firefox decided to simplify the “new window to a new tab” settings, and as a result, I can force all new windows to open in new tabs, but not pop-up windows… Mmm…
I’m buying this bag tomorrow. :)
