World of Warcraft completely down

World of Warcraft“Apache Tomcat/5.0.27 - Error report”
World of Warcraft is down. At least the European/French server I connect to. And their website is down too. Well, everything is down it seems. I can’t connect with the game (which is to be played online so no other option here really), and the website says this:

HTTP Status 500 -

description The server encountered an internal error () that prevented it from fulfilling this request.

!Hola!
Long time no speak to all. I am deeply intrigued to know what you’re all up to now (oh, those good old phrasal verbs!) I imagine collectively, there’s a good amount of galavanting across the globe being done, and a fair bit of tefl teaching too I hope!

Dylan, did you make it to mighty Mexico finally?! Morgane, how was the Caribbean and will you be tacking horses this summer? Lisa, I hope you found your cat in good health, and Josie the Caff (as my neighbours in London town would say!) Alex, I hope you’re in practice for freshers mayhem! Did you make it to China? Alex girl, did you return to Valencia with your mates after Fallas? Diana, how’s Granada? If you’re still there could you ask the Alhambra to kindly return the piece of my heart it stole! Melissa and Hans, did you stay in Barcelona - if so, I might pay you a visit soon. Jakub, wherefore art thou Jakub - Ireland? Poland? Espana? Tell me all your news.

I’m wardrobe supervising in the West End on a Burlesque show which is hilarious - lots of corsets, garters and nipple tassles, and not a lot else! The show ends in a few weeks, then I’ll be travelling back and forth to Germany designing and making costumes for an educational theatre company that teaches German school kids English through theatre - right up my street! I’m also moving to a beautiful new falt in the South East of London very soon. You are all always very welcome to visit if you find yourselves in the Big Smoke - London Town.
Love and Best wishes to you all. XXX Menna

Suck

Suck.comIt’s been down for years, but back in the good ol’ days, Suck.com was one of the coolest websites around. Keepgoing.org published a history of the site, “The Big Fish - Ten years later, the story of Suck.com, the first great website“, which is a great nostalgic read, if you like the web and you remember the era before Google.

It has been forever since I have been to a computer. I am at the library right now in Jackson Hole Wyoming. I barley ever get to town. From the ranch it is an hour and a half drive on a seriously bumpy dirt road and I only get one day off a week. Yes, I live in the butt freak of NOWHERE, it is SO GORGEOUS and I LOVE IT! There is so much to tell, I do not know where to start. We got out here after two days of driving starting from California. On our car journey (with Camille, my sister and Corrie her friend) we had time to worry about our summer situation. Were people going to be friendly, what were our living quarters going to be like… by the time we hit that dirt road it was dark and we were freaking. An hour and a half later we were finally at the head gates to our Ranch and thinking “this is the middle of nowhere”. But guess what, It couldn’t be any better. Our staff is AWESOME, we all hit it off right away, and the three of us have our own spacious room and bathroom facing the pastures and the Teton Mountain range. I have to say that the greatest thing is my job as a wrangler. Yes it is hard physical work but folks, it never feels like I am working. Heelllloo, I take fun guests from around the world (mostly families) on half day or full day horse rides in the most beautiful scenery, you can not even imagine. After work sometimes (4:30ish) we wranglers take our own crazy, fast rides through wilderness to discover new trails. We cross huge deep rivers, gallop through Sage brush, and charge up mountains. We see amazing wildlife, antelope, all sorts of deer, badgers, coyotes, bear, elk and so many other little critters. We see beautiful Hawks, Golden Eagles, Bald Eagles and on the ground, it is covered with wildflowers, Lupine and tall grasses. We go through Aspen forest and Cottonwood trees and through huge plains. It is so AMAZING. The days fly by, it is another world out here. I never know what day of the week it is and everyday before I know it it is dinner time already. We all eat together and we get to eat what the guests eat. Really good food. There are so many stories to tell, I’ll try to write more often from now on. Like one time on a wrangler ride while crossing a small creek my horse sank up to its belly in silt mud. I had to get off and swim to the other side in freezing cold snow water. We had to tie ropes up to Scout (my tall black beauty) and help pull him out. It took twenty minutes. These horses are so good, it didn’t’ even faze him, they are mountain horses! We had to fly back to the ranch because it starting snowing and I was almost hypothermic. SO much adventure, I can’t get enough of it. The weather is beautiful now. Two weeks ago it was still off and on snowing. So briefly here’s my day. Breakfast 7:00, each wrangler gets their day assignment (five of us), tack room at 7:30, get out horse from the pasture, hoof pick, brush, saddle, bridal. Guest come down from the lodge at 9:30. We go out on the ride with a picnic lunch on each horse. When we get back we grain them and feed them. When one of us isn’t going on a ride we do stuff around the tack room, rack pastures, pick corrals let me tell ya, I am getting strong. I love working outdoors. I have to go, library is closing. I don’t get out much so I am just blahhing away and can’t re read what I wrote. I would love to hear from you all. I ll be back in town next week to check my e mails. Sorry it has been so long> I love you all. Love Morgane

I waited, and I waited, and I waited (I am lazy, you know…), and then I finally realised that it wouldn’t last forever. That was a close one!

Update 06/23/05 We’re out of schwag. We’ll be able to fulfill any envelope postmarked with yesterday’s date. Otherwise, stay tuned for more good stuff.
