I am so pissed off with this, I figured I should joke about it to relieve the anger. As if spam was not already a problem in itself, now I get emails from perfect strangers, sending me stuff I don’t understand as if I was their friend or business partner or something. Let me explain: I was lucky enough to get a Gmail account very early, and thus to choose a cool address. It is a short dictionary word that sounds cool and looks good. Of course, Gmail being such a good tool, I use it all the time, and I am very satisfied with it. The spam is almost always caught and sent to the spam box, and the tools in general make my life easier. But, there is a but. Some people who don’t know how to remember their own email address are giving MY address to their friends and family. And I am getting their mail. Not a lot, but enough to piss me off and wasting my time. How can you forget your own address?? It is written on the top right corner of your screen! You need to enter it to log into the system! You CHOSE it!!

So now I get people thanking me for coming to their party, other people sending me their photos, and some telling me to get ready for my English test. And Google’s spam robot doesn’t think it is spam, because technically, it isn’t…

I don’t want to email those people and tell them. It would be a waste of time even bigger than actually reading the mail and realizing it isn’t for me in the first place. And I don’t want to get angry at them because after all, they don’t know. The person I want to shout at is the one who gives my email address thinking it’s theirs… So I decided to laugh about it (and perhaps find out who the guy is) by posting here those emails I receive by mistake. If you are one of the people who sent me one and would like me to remove it, email me. If you are a lawyer and you know I can’t do that, please email me. Otherwise, I assume that since I receive these emails at my private address, there is no privacy issue for me to publish them.

Hey Pasi,

I am working towards starting my own business myself. I am interested in building cars and and possibly motorcycles with the ideas that I have and I live in the U.S. I too like the retro/modern theme which I think you nailed on the Crossbreed! Right now I am still checking on a few things but I will get back to you about the ideas.
