(Warning: awful music)

Condé Nast tried to hide from Russian eyes a GQ article criticizing Vladimir Putin. So, Gawker got their readers to translate it into Russian.
Whether or not the article is really good/important or not, it’s an interesting use of crowdsourcing, and of information spreading like weed.

In anticipation of there upcoming new full length dropping October on the french hip-hop label Ascetic Music, the dDamage brothers have made this amazing mix for us to give to all of you, seriously Twisted and unexpected firey mixes of hits from the Beastie Boys, Tiga, Digitalism, Krazy Baldhead, Tes, Midfield General, Ministry, Bomb the Bass, Lil’Flip, Oizo, Mobb Deep, Suave Smooth, Run DMC, Crunc Tesla, dj Assault, Aphex Twin, Paul Bowles, I-Cube, RZA, Ultramagnetic MC’s, Ratatat, Run DMC, Tone Loc, and many more!

Very, very pretty Web Trend Map
04-Sep-09

Just got an invite (thank you very much Oliver!) to Web Trend Map, and I have to say it’s one of the sexiest websites I’ve seen in a while. Of course, it’s not surprising from iA, but I have to admit there was some rare wow factor (understand: outside of a Google product) when I started playing with it a little to make my first map. I’m still not convinced by Twitter in general, but I do appreciate the way WTM is going, scrapping the logorrhea to keep only the core. And I suppose it could soon become open to just any RSS feed, for example del.icio.us or whatever the next Twitter is, right?
Well done Oliver, and thank you.
